The Philip Reagan Haynes Always See the Good Foundation is honored to continue Philip Reagan Haynes’ legacy by supporting students who share his passion for life, creativity, and determination. Students who, like Philip, express themselves through art, music, athletics, and other creative pursuits. Applications for our scholarships will be available soon.  
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Graduating seniors from Fleming Island High School, Orange Park High School, or Ridgeview High School, accepted into a college or university.

  • Must demonstrate active involvement in one or more (preferred) of the following: sports, music, visual or performing arts.

Application for High School Students

Encouraging students to pursue what they love.

We’re excited to begin the application process again soon. Stay tuned! Prompts may be adjusted as the application period approaches.

  1. Imagine you have the opportunity to speak at your graduation ceremony. What message would you share with your peers and why?

  2. In moments of adversity, finding something positive can be life-changing. Describe a time when you were able to find the good in a tough situation and how it helped you move forward.

  3. Write about something you’re passionate about or interested in right now. Choose anything that excites or inspires you, and share why it’s meaningful to you.

Submit a video (up to 90 seconds) showcasing your involvement in passion that reflects Philip's spirit of creativity, determination, and positivity. Whether it's sports, music, the arts, or another meaningful activity, show how you embody his love for life. Creativity is highly encouraged!

The Philip Reagan Haynes See The Good Scholarship at Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts was created in loving memory of Philip Haynes and his deep passion for film, storytelling, and creativity. Philip believed in finding meaning, connection, and goodness through the stories we tell, and this scholarship honors students who embody that same spirit. It supports students in the FSU College of Motion Picture Arts who demonstrate creativity, curiosity, and a genuine love for film and visual storytelling, using their craft to explore life, express emotion, and inspire others to see the good in the world around them. Through this scholarship, we aim to encourage students to stay creative, pursue their passions wholeheartedly, and see the good.
